The Festive Challenge

R4 000 to the most active crew in the country.

Keep your receipts. Top 3 leagues will be asked for proof of play.
R4 000 on the line — one league wins it. Entries close 31 December.

One R4 000 gift voucher for The Pro Shop (theproshop.co.za). Issued to the league captain. How the crew splits or spends it is between them — TGB does not divide the prize.

Activity beats talent — 70% participation, 30% skill.

The National League Rankings score is 70% participation and 30% skill. An active average league out-ranks a brilliant inactive one. Showing up counts for more than shooting low.

How to climb — play more rounds, add more okes, shoot better.

Three ways to climb the National League Rankings. The last 90 days are weighted heaviest, so a crew that plays steadily from October onward builds a lead that's hard to catch. A league that starts in November is still welcome — you've just got fewer weekends to build.

Entries close 31 December. Create a league, send the code, start playing. Download now.

No entry fee. No sign-up form. Create a league in the app (minimum 3 members), send the code to your crew, start logging rounds. If you're on the National League Rankings, you're in.

Key Dates

The Rules

  1. A league must have at least 3 members to be eligible.
  2. Rounds must be logged in the TGB app. Rounds played but not logged do not count.
  3. A Points Match requires at least 3 league members present, per the normal TGB rules.
  4. The league ranked first on the National League Rankings at close wins.
  5. The prize is issued to the league captain as recorded in the app at the time of closing.
  6. Keep your receipts. TGB may request proof of play before awarding the prize. Acceptable proof includes a green fee receipt, tee time confirmation, booking confirmation or official scorecard, showing the date of play and the name of the course, matching the round as logged in the app.
  7. Proof may be requested for any round logged from 6 October 2026 onward. Rounds logged before that date are not subject to this requirement.
  8. Leagues finishing in the top 3 should be able to produce proof for a reasonable sample of their logged rounds on request. If a league cannot produce proof for rounds it has logged, those rounds may be discounted and the league may be disqualified.
  9. The app records when a round is started and completed. Rounds that do not reflect a round of golf actually being played may be reviewed and discounted.
  10. TGB reserves the right to disqualify any league where logged activity does not reflect golf actually played. TGB's decision on eligibility and verification is final.
  11. The prize is a voucher only. It is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  12. Employees of ToxicSweet and anyone involved in building TGB may play but are not eligible to win.

Fair Play

We built this for crews who actually play golf. The app records when a round starts and finishes, so anything that doesn't look like a real round gets flagged for a look.

One thing to do from today: keep your receipts. Green fee slips, tee time confirmations, booking emails — whatever your course gives you, as long as the date and the course name are visible. If your league finishes in the top 3 we'll ask to see a few of them before the voucher goes out.

If you're out there playing, you have nothing to worry about.
